Henry Jacobi and Michele Cervellin join JM Honda Racing

JM Honda Racing is proud to announce a completely new and exciting rider duo for 2021. Former junior world champion Henry Jacobi and Michele Cervellin will be lining up on the brand new Honda CRF450R for their second season in MXGP.

Henry Jacobi captured two MX2 podiums and a strong fifth overall in 2019 before moving up to the premier class. The hard-charging 24-year old German rode to a strong MXGP debut in Matterley Basin where he finished 9th but injuries kept him from realising his full potential.

Known for his strong work ethic and determination Jacobi still recorded a promising 8th place moto finish at Mantova 1 and two 11th overall placements. With a good winter preparation the 2018 ADAC MX Masters champion should be capable of creating some surprises and challenging the MXGP establishment.

At the final round of the 2020 World motocross championship Benoit Paturel recorded a strong first moto coming home 8th. He was unlucky in the final race but team mate Dylan Walsh delivered a solid performance in his ultimate sprint of the season. Walsh finished 13th after crossing the line 19th in the opener.

The second round of the Trentino triple header took place at the scenic 'Crossodromo Ciclamino' yesterday. While Dylan Walsh continued to up his MXGP race pace -and scoring his best qualifying position of the season- it was Benoit Paturel who was the standout JM Honda Racing rider. The fast Frenchman rode his CRF450R to 12th in race two.

The promise of time practice, in which both JM Honda Racing riders felt comfortable, never came to fruition in what was a disappointing day for Dylan Walsh and Benoit Paturel. However Walsh demonstrated a good pace on the stony and hard pack Crossodrome Ciclamino near Lake Garda.
